Starting January 2016, Microsoft will stop issuing security updates and providing tech support for old Internet Explorer browsers. This is to encourage companies to use only the latest version (currently IE 11).
This is Christmas in August for those in the web world. As a website designer, our developer partners test every site in every browser version. It can be a struggle to get a fabulous new website with all the bells and whistles to work in an outdated IE8 browser used by the client. Corporate IT departments are hesitant to update from older versions of IE, but this will help drive them forward.
